Research

         Nature has always been an incredible teacher. The sweet wormwood plant gave us lifesaving malaria treatments, and bacteria inspired the revolutionary gene-editing tool CRISPR. Nature still holds many of the answers to today’s challenges. With this perspective, I’ve done my own research to create solutions that protect both human health and the environment — work that has deepened my passion for discovery and, with some luck, earned recognition in science competitions.
